The Organic Standard for Make-up
At NVEY ECO we take a strict approach to the
sourcing and use of ingredients in our products, and apply a thorough
certified organic production criteria to all stages in our research,
development and the manufacturing of our finished product. Nvey Eco is over 97% Certified Organicby Organic Food Chain of Australia.
NVEY ECO cares about the health of our clients and the environment, and
we use only regulated and safe ingredients appropriate for colour
cosmetics:
Talc Free: No Talc is used in any NVEY ECO product.
Paraben Free: No Parabens are used in the manufacture of any NVEY ECO product.
Preservative: NVEY ECO production is preservative free as July 2008. We have
committed to phasing out the use of phenoxyethanol as of July 1st 2008
to ensure NVEY ECO products are clean and green.
Sodium Laureth Sulphate (SLS) Free: No SLS or derivatives of SLS chemicals are used in any of our
products.
No Propylene Glycol: No Propylene Glycol is used in our products.
GMO Free: No ingredients are derived from genetically modified crops.
Not Tested On Animals: We simply don’t test on animals….. only our obliging staff, and
occasionally the CEO!
No Petroleum Based Ingredients: No mineral or petroleum oils are used in our product. NVEY ECO
uses plant derived oils such as safflower oil.
No Nanotechnology based Ingredients: We do not use nano particle ingredients in NVEY ECO products,
and are against this hazardous and potentially toxic technology.
Certified Organic v Natural/ Mineral: We believe if you are going to make a product organic…. you go
all the way and make it certified organic. NVEY ECO Make-up is OFC
Certified Organic [Organic Food Chain Certificate Number #0464] and
Australian Government Certified. Unlike natural or mineral
labelled or uncertified products, we have to meet a strict organic
certifying standard in all ingredients and processes we use, which
prohibits us from using some ingredients found in natural products such
as talc or unregulated or unsafe ingredients and/ or production methods
non certified brands may employ. We are also independently audited for
quality by OFC.

PRODUCTS? NVEY ECO does not have any peanut oils in the

WHAT IS
THE
SOURCE OF VITAMIN e, AND IS THE PRODUCT GLUTEN FREE?
Sarah, the importer for Nvey Eco, says, "We do not
make the
claim on being gluten free – our primary source for
Vitamin
E is typically soybeans, not wheat, barley or rye,
but
again, we do not have certification for gluten free,
nor do
we make any claim towards that as well."
WHAT
KIND OF
COLORANTS DOES NVEY ECO USE? You will notice that at the bottom of most of
the
products you will see a “may contain” with CI
ingredients –
These are used for colorant (and are usually a
combination
of mica, iron dioxides and titanium dioxides). The
amount
used is very small, and obviously the amount will
very
depending on the color of the actual product.
ARE THESE NUMBERS ON THE BOX THE EXPIRATION DATES? Yes, they are expiration dates – all dates
however are
in European format day – month – year. These are
sell by
dates, and the products are good for a minimum of
two years
once opened.
