VITAMIN E - TOCOPHEROLS AND TOCOTRIENOLS
Vitamin E, one of our most important antioxidant
vitamins, was discovered at the University of California
at Berkeley in 1922. Subsequently, through extensive
examination, Vitamin E was found to be a family of eight
isomers: alpha, beta, gamma and delta tocopherols and
alpha, beta, gamma and delta tocotrienols. Vitamin E
that naturally occurs in our food always contains all
eight compounds. Most supplemental Vitamin E has been
based on only one fraction: alpha tocopherol.
THE VALUE OF VITAMIN E COMPLETE 8™
Emerging research reveals that optimal benefits from

that Vitamin E, d-alpha tocopherol, is the most
effective form. Recent research shows this information
to be incorrect. The Confusion - Through a process of
elimination Vitamin E became one fraction: alpha
tocopherol. Scientific research confirms that Vitamin E
is not a single compound. Vitamin E is a family of eight
isomers: alpha, beta, gamma and delta Tocopherols and
alpha, beta, gamma and delta Tocotrienols. Vitamin E
that naturally occurs in our food contains all eight
compounds. Vitamin E delivered in its whole food form,
