Here are our selections for Skin Day Creams & Lotions. Products include serums and gels; skin supplementals that you use under main moisturizer's too. We have put both day and night creams into this section as some may work for both.
If you have dry skin, dry, wrinkled skin, or dry areas (like on the cheeks or around the eyes), you need a moisturizer; otherwise you may not. According to skincare specialist/ author, Paula Begoun, "if you don't have dry skin or you have normal to oily skin, you can obtain many of the benefits moisturizers contain in a well-formulated toner." I certainly agree, and Living Nature's Hydrating Toning Gels will work well. "Avoiding using creams, lotions or serum-style moisturizers when you don't have dry skin can help prevent breakouts and feeling greasy and shiny through your makeup by midday, and encourage your skin to do its own natural exfoliation" she adds. Some of these day moisturizers, may also work well for just at night for those with normal to oily skin. If your worried about maturing skin, then go by feel. Your skin will tell you if you need that extra moisture or not. And instead of a cream, maybe a lotion would do instead.
Many ask me which is the best moisturizer. Unfortunately, there is no one formula I can point to as the single best one because your skin is like a fingerprint. There isn't anyone else that has the same exact skin, and not one reacts quite the same to external conditions. So my best advise is just try all of our facial creams, gels and lotions. Listen to what your skin tells you about each one, and go from there. What about eye cream? The only time you may want to use a different product around your eyes is if the skin there happens to be different from the skin on the rest of your face. Also, if your skin is normal to oily, it may not require an eye cream, and a normal hydrating toner or light moisturizer will do. If your skin is rather dry, or maturing, then it would certainly be advisable to add a treatment like that if need be. And we have a couple that are wonderful.
