ABOUT FUCHS

Fuchs Toothbrushes represent the state of the art in toothbrush design. Fuchs comes from one of the world's leading toothbrush companies domiciled in Europe. The line goes far beyond standard nylon toothbrushes to include natural bristle toothbrushes, unique head and handle shapes for optimal dental hygiene, and the patented EkoTec replaceable head toothbrush system. Fuchs represents the future of dental hygiene with a brush to fit every need.

Make Fuchs toothbrushes a part of your dental-care future

The cost of dental care is going up enormously in this country; even those who can afford dental insurance are seeing their premiums go up faster than the rate of inflation. It is far easier (and cheaper!) to take care of your teeth from the start, rather than face the risk of serious tooth and gum disease and the exorbitant costs associated with caring for these conditions.

A good program of dental hygiene has a number of elements. No one element alone can promise you good dental health. However, brushing regularly is the most important single aspect of maintaining the health of your teeth and gums. When combined with daily flossing and regular dental checkups, brushing is the first line of defense against cavities, gum disease and other dental care problems.

Fuchs Toothbrushes are designed to be part of your regular dental care regimen. No matter what your dental needs, age, or bristle preference, we have a top-quality, competitively priced toothbrush engineered to keep your teeth clean and healthy at all times.

Fuchs (pronounced like the word “future”) is a German word meaning “fox”; the distinctive fox logo appears on the entire line of Fuchs dental care.

With their unique combination of state of the art design, strict quality control standards and excellent value, Fuchs products are the future of dental hygiene. Sophisticated, efficient manufacturing systems and high volume worldwide enable Fuchs to prodce top quality toothbrushes at extremely competitive prices. Fuchs Toothbrushes are manufactured under the strict quality control guidelines of the German Food and Drug Regulations, and are registered by the USFDA for import into the United States. So when you look for quality toothbrushes, look for the sign of the fox

Different Strokes for Different Folks

It’s a little-known fact that the primary benefits of good dental care are obtained mainly from correct brushing itself, rather than from special toothpaste or rinses. From toddler to senior, everyone’steeth grow and change; eachstage requires differenttoothbrush technology toproduce optimal results. As a leader in dental care,Fuchs has developed a widerange of brush styles andsizes to meet every consumerneed and preference. Fuchsis the only major dentalcare company that has developedlines of both natural andnylon bristles.

Each type has its own unique benefits:

Natural Bristles
Natural Bristle brushes actually come from a special breed of boar raised solely for its bristles. The bristles are carefully harvested using a process similar to the methods employed in shearing sheep. The boar are extremely well cared-for; their bristles are harvested repeatedly during their long lifetimes.

The bristles have different degrees of stiffness, depending upon from which part of the body they originate. This is why natural bristles can be supplied in soft, medium and hard variations. Although most bristles are a light beige color, occasionally some black bristles, noted for their stiffer texture, are used in natural bristle toothbrushes. Natural bristle brushes are generally considered to run one level softer than the comparable toothbrush in nylon. Thus, a soft natural brush is equivalent to an extra soft nylon one, a hard natural brush is equivalent to a medium nylon brush and so on. Natural bristle brushes are especially useful for people who require soft-bristledbrushes to avoid damaging tooth enamel or sensitive gums.

NylonBristles
Nylon bristle brushes are the most common type of toothbrushes worldwide. Fuchs supplies very high quality nylon brushes with full “end rounding” and polishing of the bristles; this critical step ensures that there are no rough bristle ends to harm the gums or the enamel. Unlike other major toothbrush manufacturers, Fuchs utilizes a state of the art end-rounding and polishing process with superior quality control at every stage. Nylon bristles are generally clear or white in color, in contrast to the beige of most natural bristles.

If you look carefully at all Fuchs toothbrushes you will also see that they contain a very dense bristle field, a feature found only on the world’s highest quality toothbrushes. This density prolongs the life of the toothbrush as well as providing a more effective brushing action. Despite this superior quality, Fuchs nylon brushes are very competitively priced.

Record V
Within the last few years you may have seen extensive advertising about the benefits of using ripple “v” bristle fields; these uniquely shaped bristles help prevent plaque formation, as they can more effectively get in between the teeth. What you may not know is that Fuchs is one of the original manufacturers of the ripple v bristle toothbrush always at the forefront of dental care technology. Fuchs has marketed this type of brush head worldwide for more than 40 years. Although billed as a new dental care discovery, ripple v bristles have been a successful part of the Fuchs line since the 1950s! They are still the best-selling bristle shape in the Fuchs product line.

At Fuchs, these pioneering ripple “v” bristles toothbrushes are marketed under the name “Record V”. You will find them in our product line in both nylon and natural bristles, and in soft, medium and hard levels of stiffness. The Record V Toothbrush also features a uniquely angled neck, providing maximum agility in reaching even the furthest corners of the mouth. These unique brushes also have the distinction of being copied by most of the major US toothbrush manufacturers over the last few years, albeit at much higher prices.
