Cleaning all of your makeup brushes is imperative in order
to keep them bacteria-free. Lingering bacteria not only poses the risk of
causing acne breakouts, it also generally suggests that there is excess makeup
building up on the brush. Therefore we recommend that every day people wash their brushes once a month, while professional makeup artists should wash their brushes more often to after each application on a client.
A brush shampoo should not contain any conditioning agents that can leave residue on the brushes and bread bacteria. When washing your brush you'll want to gently but thoroughly wash the brush in warm water; rinse the brush well; press out the excess water carefully and dab it dry with a cloth. Arrange the bristles back into shape; let the brush air dry flat on a towel. We do not recommend using hair dryers. Hair dryers can damage the bristles.
