In keeping with
industry guidelines, the 24 Tints of Nature
permanent colors are classified by ICC
numbers. These signify depth of color and
vary from 1, the darkest to 10, the
lightest. Following each number is a letter
or letters which further aid identification.
Nine of the
available Tints of Nature colors have
the letter ‘N’ as their suffix. We call
these our natural colors as they are the
closest to those colors that tend to occur
in nature with human hair. Moreover, because
of their good match, it is these colors that
are normally most effective at blending in
and covering grey hair.
The other 15 colors
are known as our fashion colors and also
have ICC numbers to aid with their
identification. Some of the suffixes used
with these colors are unique to Tints of
Nature, while others, as with the ‘N’
suffix above, are identical to those used by
other manufacturers. This similarity
facilitates direct color comparisons between
Tints of Nature and other brands of
hair color. The fashion colors offer a
greater variety of choice than that of the
natural colors and although they might not
cover grey quite as well they can, if
required, very often be blended with a
natural color to achieve greater grey
coverage.
Please remember -
with Tints of Nature, because of its
milder, more natural method, hair color can
usually only be lightened by 1-1½ shades.
Using either the chart available or the
swatch ring available in our boutique, you
should compare your chosen color or colors
to the natural depth of color of your hair
to ensure it is not too light. On the other
hand, if you want to darken your hair,
Tints of Nature can usually achieve this
over a range of several colors.

Conditioning Permanent Hair Colour
Highly effective permanent
hair colourant, created from many certified organic
ingredients.
Tints of Nature is a highly
effective range of 24 conditioning permanent hair
colours, which cover all grey hair. It employs an
advanced, professionally tested formula to produce
outstanding results whilst protecting and caring for
your hair and scalp as naturally and gently as possible.
Tints of Nature is the only range of hair colours to use
high quality, certified organic ingredients. It contains
no harsh chemicals, such as resorcinol or nonoxynol,
thus guaranteeing damage free results without
compromise.
Permanent Hair Colouring
Definition: Alters the colour of your hair
permanently and on the inside. For this to work we have
to lift the cuticle and allow the permanent colour to
work into the cortex of the hair. The only way to do
this is to alter the pH of the hair, and this is why the
type of colour used is very important.

bottle of Tints of Nature color gel, and a bottle of
Tints of Nature Color Fix plus shampoo and conditioner

shade (meaning you can only lighten your hair by one
level).

of our 24 permanent colours is described by a number
followed by a letter. This is called an ICC number;

We have had good
feedback from the girls here using this
product. Here are some highlights:

- How to Use
Product
- Be sure not to
wash your hair prior to using the hair
dye, unless you have styling products in
it. If so, clean and dry the hair before
coloring. After mixing the two
solutions, use the end of the squeeze tube
to part your hair to apply. Start
where there is more gray. Then once
the roots have been coated all over, let
sit for 20 minutes. Then apply the
formula on the remaining hair for 10
minutes. Sometimes people like to
add a few minutes more or less. This
is a personal choice. After
processing, add some water and lather,
then rinse until the color is out and
water runs clear. Apply shampoo and
conditioner as directed.
