What you should know about SanoTint Hair Lightening Kit
How to use SanoTint Hair Lightener Kit as a soap cap: Why use a soap cap on the hair anyway? If your hair is to darker by a couple levels than you want, or in the case below, you have to much orange in your hair, you can use SanoTint Hair Lightener Kits. Below is how we used it as a soap cap:
- She wanted to color balance, brighten and lighten at the same time. The first step is to take the 3 decolouring packets and mix it in a color bowl with the 3 activators (developers) in the box. This should bring you to about 1oz of product. Then mix 1oz of shampoo into it. Now rinse your hair with water and apply the product like any shampoo. If you would have really light ends, you could keep it at the root, but in the case below, she applied it all over. Let it sit for about 15 minutes, checking to be sure it wasn't going to light. Then rinse it out like any shampoo. Deep condition after. If your hair needs further balancing, you can also take some lemon juice (comb it thru) and leave it on the hair for the night, by morning it will take some yellow out of the hair.
This is just one way you can use this product. We will present further ways in the near future. We can recommend this to nearly anyone. It will only reduce your hair color level a couple levels. If you have black hair and want to go to blonde however, this would not be recommended. It is not strong enough. We also suggest that those who are not willing to experiment with bad results NOT do this. We would recommend that you find someone who knows how to do it and have them apply it to your hair.
Natural Solutions does not take responsibility for those who do make errors. We are simply letting you know of how we have used it and those results.
As the SANTINT hair dyes do not remove but adds colour, it can be used to lighten your hair in order to allow the application of some of the light hair dyes. It is for any hair type. Product contains hydrogen peroxide. DO NOT use on eyelashes and eyebrows. If the product comes into contact with the eyes, rinse well immediately with water. Keep out of reach of children.
Basic Instructions for Use:
- Read the instructions carefully. Respect the recommended application times so as not to damage the hair.
- Put on gloves.
- Pour contents of one sachet of “de-coloring powder” into a non-metallic bowl.
- Add contents of the “Activator” bottle and mix until a smooth cream is formed.
- Apply to dry hair.
- The strength of the lightening effect depends on the length of duration.
More Extensive Instruction::
- Wash your hair with your regular shampoo to remove any oil, dirt or styling product buildup that may have collected in your hair. Skip the conditioner for now. Pat your hair dry with a clean towel and allow it to dry completely before beginning the lightening process.
- Empty one packet of the lightening agent into a plastic bowl or dish. Using metal will cause an unpleasant and dangerous chemical reaction, so be sure to use only glass or plastic when mixing the formula.
- Pour the contents of one container of the activator into the bowl. Empty one.
- Stir the activator and lightening agent together thoroughly using a plastic or glass spatula, spoon or applicator brush.
- Put the cap back on the empty applicator bottle and dispose of both it and the empty lightening agent packet. Though these elements need to be mixed together to be potent, they each may stain or cause other problems if left to drip on furniture or cabinets.
- Allow the mixture to cure for a few minutes. Once the texture of the mix is smooth and no longer gritty, the formula is ready to use.
- Apply the mixture to your dry hair with a plastic applicator brush. Be sure to cover the area completely, paying particular attention to the roots.
- Let the mixture remain on your hair for up to 30 minutes depending on the shade you would like to achieve. Leaving it on for 10 minutes will bring your hair to a reddish hue.
- In 15 minutes, it will be orange, and in 20 minutes, yellow orange. Leaving it for the full 30 minutes will bring it to yellow or platinum.
- Wash your hair completely with cool water, removing every trace of the lightening mixture.
- Condition your hair with the restructuring balm provided in the kit to help prevent and repair any damage done to your hair through this bleaching process.
