Suncoat Naturals Natural SugarBased Mascara - Natural Make Up

This sugar-based natural mascara is another unique product Suncoat developed. Made with natural sugar-based biopolymer, kaolin clay, earth pigments and enriched with vitamin E. Naturally builds lash volume and length. A superior alternative for your sensitive eyes and our environment!

Although NOT waterproof, our natural mascara has GREAT wear-ability and resists smudging, but washes off easily with regular skin cleanser and water.

Suncoat has pioneered an innovative sugar-based technology for cosmetics and hair styling products, using natural multi-sugar biopolymer instead of synthetic chemicals.

For decades, synthetic plastics, typically PVP (polyvinyl pyrrolidone polymer), acrylic copolymer, VA (vinyl acetate) polymer, have been widely used in color cosmetics, hair styling products and skin care products. They can be found even in many so-called natural products. These synthetic plastics are derived from petrochemicals, so not the best choice to enhance our natural beauty and to protect our environment.

Suncoat has introduced a unique sugar-based technology to remove these synthetic plastics. In Suncoat natural mascara, eyeliner and hair styling products, a very unique sugar-based biopolymer (polysaccharides) is used in place of synthetic polymers. This sugar-based biopolymer is derived from natural renewable resources, readily biodegradable and most importantly delivers superior performance without harming our systems and the environment.

Not All Natural Mascaras Are Alike:
  • Free of PVP (polyvinyl pyrrolidone polymer), acrylic copolymer, VA (vinyl acetate) polymer. Free of fragrance, paraben, alcohol and glycol
  • Kind to sensitive eyes
  • Naturally builds lash volume and length
  • Biodegradable ingredients
  • Vegan, Not Tested On Animals
  • Fragrance Free

What Makes The Conventional Mascara: Synthetic plastics, such as acrylic copolymer, PVP (polyvinyl pyrrolidone polymer) and polyvinyl acetate are found in most conventional mascaras. They are used mainly as the binding agent/film former in liquid eyeliner to glue pigments and fillers together so the mascara can stay on your lashes. These synthetic plastics are derived from petrochemicals; contain residual monomers (the starting materials for producing plastics, namely acrylic monomers, vinyl pyrrolidone monomer and vinyl acetate monomer) that are not only toxic, but also irritating to the eye and reactive.

Synthetic dyes, glycol, alcohol and chemical preservatives are also used in conventional liquid eyeliner formulations.

What do people say about the Suncoat Naturals SugarBased Mascara

Suncoat Review: "After using your products (eyeliner, mascara and hair spray) for a month I can pass on lots of praise. I am so very allergic to most everything, I had all but given up hope of wearing makeup again or styling my hair. Thanks to Suncoat, I get to do both. A lady at church told me Sunday that I looked 10 years younger – just what every 50 year old wants to hear! Thanks so much." from Oklahoma USA

2 of 5 Difficult to apply October 8, 2020
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Denver, CO United States
This mascara is very thick and sticky. It is very difficult to get it to stick to my eyelashes. I have to apply it extremely slowly and even then, it only goes on very very thin and is not really making a visual difference. It also flakes off onto my cheeks after a few hours. I think the formula needs improving.

5 of 5 SunCoat Naturals Sugar Based Mascara July 23, 2018
Reviewer: F.L. from Wi
I really liked this mascara and will order again . It does not sting or Burn my eyes or make them itch. It has a nice look without being overdone . it will clump if you try to put too much on . the trick is getting one good swipe then a follow up and then leaving it alone.

4 of 5 Good but applicator tends to leak May 30, 2016

I like that it is easy to apply and doesn't clump.  However, the applicator tends to leak so I have to be careful to check my hands after I touch the applicator.

3 of 5 Not my fav but I'll continue to use it June 6, 2015
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from honolulu, HI United States
It's the only mascara I'm supposed to use because of med reasons. I will say it's much better than I expected and honestly ive used many high end mascaras I don't like as well. I am pleased this is a useable natural ingredient alternative. I do use more coats of this, I would usually use only one. It will clump so make sure it's not completely dry between coats as it seems clumping is less.

3 of 5 Have to use a lot. December 3, 2014
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Clovis, CA United States
It seemed to be slightly dry, but I just go over my lashes a lot and it's fine. My eyes are no longer irritated!
