About Morrocco Method
The Morrocco Method of hair, face and body care is unique as well as
comprehensive. It represents over forty years of research and
experimentation, integrating modern scientific knowledge with the
ancient healing arts of Ayurvedic and Chinese herbalism.
Anthony Morrocco has, for over 40 years, carefully studied and practiced
holistic hair care. His quest to find a naturally based treatment for
hair and scalp problems began with his apprenticeship at world famous
Kenneth's, a posh New York salon, where his clients included Jackie
Kennedy Onassis, Mrs. Vincent Astor, Mia Farrow, Lauren Bacall, Joan
Rivers, Faye Dunaway, Liza Minelli, and numerous other celebrities.
For
years, Anthony watched as the rich and famous walked into Kenneth's
with hair care problems and left with the same problems, only covered up
with styles, perms, blow drying, gels, mousses, bleaches and chemicals.
Anthony discovered that, regardless of the money spent on traditional
hair care, the problems just didn't go away. This realization inspired
Anthony to create a new system of hair and scalp treatment that would
have successful, long term results. Now, after more than four
decades of travel, research and experimentation, including his study of
Chinese herbalism and acupressure under Bruce Lee's master, Mr. Fung Yi
of Peking and Dr. Cecilia Lu of Shanghai, Anthony has perfected a
holistic program for women and men determined to make positive changes
for healthier, more vibrant hair. All Morrocco Method
products contain only the finest organic derived minerals and botanicals
harvested from around the world. and selected for maximum potency. We
have followed the principles of Old World farmers who understood that
planting, harvesting and storing foods according to the lunar cycle
maximizes the energetic potency of the plants. Every Morrocco
Method product contains each of the 92 trace minerals. Each product is
carefully designed to both detoxify and nourish. Our products have been
featured in CBS News, InStyle Magazine, People Magazine, Farmers
Almanac, the Los Angeles Times, and many other international
publications. The Morrocco Method is unquestionably the finest,
most effective program of holistic hair care available today.
Fair Trade
The Morrocco Method strives
to honor fair trade principles of sustainability and equity in all of
our products. Fair trade products are generally created by smaller
producers who are paid fair prices and who pay fair wages to their
employees. Fair trade producers practice sustainable, environmentally
aware farming and manufacturing. Shown on th is page are actual
photos of a few of our fair trade partners harvesting blood of the
dragon for our unique Styling Gel and sea plants used in many of our
shampoos and conditioners, and manufacturing our unique hand-crafted
soaps. Q. What is a fair wage? Producers
receive a fair wage when they are paid fairly for their products. This
means that workers are paid at least that country's minimum wage. Since
the minimum wage is often not enough for basic survival, whenever
feasible, workers are paid a living wage, which enables them to cover
basic needs, including food, shelter, education and health care for
their families. Paying fair wages does not necessarily mean that
products cost the consumer more. Since fair trade organizations bypass
exploitative middle-people and work directly with producers, they are
able to cut costs and return a greater percentage of the retail price to
the producers. Q. Why do fair trade organizations
support cooperative workplaces? Cooperatives and
producer associations provide a healthy alternative to large-scale
manufacturing and sweatshop conditions, where unprotected workers earn
below minimum wage and most of the profits flow to foreign investors and
local elites who have little interest in ensuring the long term health
of the communities in which they work. Fair trade organizations work
primarily with small businesses, worker owned and democratically run
cooperatives and associations which bring significant benefits to
workers and their communities. By banding together, workers are able to
access credit, reduce raw material costs and establish higher and more
just prices for their products. Workers earn a greater return on their
labor, and profits are distributed more equitably and often reinvested
in community projects such as health clinics, child care, education, and
literacy training. Workers learn important leadership and organizing
skills, enabling self-reliant grassroots-driven development. Q.
How do FTF members practice environmental sustainability?
Many FTF members work directly with producers in regions of high
biodiversity to develop products based on sustainable use of their
natural resources, giving communities an incentive to preserve their
natural environments for future generations. All Morrocco Method products
contain only the finest organic derived minerals and botanicals
harvested from around the world. and selected for maximum potency. We
have followed the principles of Old World farmers who understood that
planting, harvesting and storing foods according to the lunar cycle
maximizes the energetic potency of the plants.
Green & Cruelty Free
We believe in promoting and
maintaining a healthy environment. None of our products are tested on
animals. We do not purchase from suppliers who test on animals.
Morrocco Method uses only recycled
paper for all of our brochures and other paper goods. We recycle all of
our boxes and packing materials. We use 100% recyclable product
packaging, avoiding superfluous boxes and containers. All of our bottles
and containers are made of 100% recyclable plastics. a word about styrofoam Styrofoam is one of those man-made
"wonders" that was invented without forethought or knowledge as to the
environmental effects. The process of manufacturing Styrofoam is a major
contributing component to the breakdown of our ozone layer, and we know
that styrofoam does not biodegrade. The styrofoam (or any similar
filler) that you find with your order is recycled.
We do not buy any styrofoam but we do receive it
as protective packaging for inventory from our distributors. If you do
not have a use for these Styrofoam pellets, please send them back to us.
We will continue to recycle them. We also accept cardboard boxes as
part of our recycling efforts. Any comments or
suggestions would be very welcome.
Wishing us all a green planet
and a healthy future for the generations to come.
