Natural Sunscreens & Tanning
No matter what time of year it is, your skin is constantly battling uva and uvb rays even with a refreshing walk in the park, or going from your home to your car. A quality sunscreen used over time can prevent premature skin wrinkles and sun damage. Traditional sunscreen products contain Oxybenzone, Homesalate, Benzophenone 3, Octyl Salicylate, and Paba. They also have liquid plastic which is mineral oil, that actually can become rancid in the skin and over time the sun can cause free radicals to break down in the skin. This literally causes aging skin. Our natural sunscreen and tanning products are made to treat your body gently. Browse our selection of products to find your perfect bath time regimen.

Take Care of Our Oceans, Seas & Lakes
A variety of other sunscreen and tanning products are filled with chemicals that we have highlighted above and then some. While these ingredients may protect your skin from sun damage to a degree, one of the worst effects is to our planets oceans, seas and lakes. We offer a line of sun products that protects the life within these waters. While there are no laws mandating what you put on to go into the water, we would urge you to only use things that are reef friendly. Additional body care products can be found under our body care categories, so choose all-natural products for all of your body care needs.
How do you determine what to wear? There are several ways to fit sun protection into your daily
skincare routine. You can choose an Spf 15 or greater moisturizer
formulated with sunscreen, or you can apply a sunscreen after applying a
moisturizer. I do not recommend Spf foundations as your main sunscreen because they do not
usually contain a high enough Spf level. The sunscreen should be the
last thing you apply to the skin. So if I were going to add this to my
routine, I'd follow the following regimen: cleanse, apply toner,
moisturize then Spf (ie Spf15 moisturizer). If this is to heavy, then
apply the moisturizer over the dry areas of the face only, and then
apply the Spf15 cream over the entire face. We do not recommend
synthetic sunscreens.
Can you apply a sunscreen 15 and then choose a sunscreen foundation with a higher spf level to get an added protection?
No. Whatever the higher spf factor is will be what you have. So make sure you use the highest protection you want in one item at least. Consider your activity, then consider if you need something to be sweet proof/water resistant or not. From there you can find the right spf.
Please read our policies under Customer Service Desk as not all items are returnable. We encourage everyone to read the ingredient labels carefully to avoid allergens.
